The Mitutoyo ABSOLUTE digital disc micrometer uses flat discs and non-rotating spindle constructed of hardened steel in own Japanese facilities to measure lengths of spur and helical gears. The non-rotating spindle reduces torque on parts being measured and prevents workpiece deformation and wear. A ratchet-stop mechanism provides uniform pressure on a workpiece for precise, repeatable measurements. Readings are displayed on an easy-to-read LCD readout.
