This dual-frequency reader offers Bluetooth® low energy technology for reading proximity (125/132 kHz) or contactless smart cards (13.56 MHz) and mobile credentials. With a dual card reader and Bluetooth low energy module in one device, installation only requires one USB port-freeing additional ports for other peripherals. Four credential configurations (up to three card types and one mobile) accommodate multi-card environments, with the added flexibility of using smartphones for authentication. A user-selectable volume control includes a beeper on/off setting for noise-sensitive areas.

The Wave ID Mobile Mini credential reader is compatible with the industry-leading Pack ID mobile credential solution from Orange Business Services, available for both iOS and Android through rf IDEAS. The Wave IDMobile Mini Demo app provides an example for customers who want to develop their own applications for device access, asset tracking, enhanced single sign-on, time & attendance and more, based on mobileauthentication, traditional ID cards, or a combination. Support for the emerging Public Key Open Credential standard (PKOC) from the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance offers even greater versatility
