Diagnosing / simulating resistance type sensors is difficult without a new sensor or external load devise to test sensor or circuit health. The sensor simulator links between the sensor & the ECU. Sensor load is simulated by an adjustable resistance load. Digital display and load adjustment provides accurate test input. Increase or decrease resistance (load) to trigger vehicle functions (fans, AC, etc) controlled by the ECU to determine if a sensor or the circuit is defective.  Test 100 to 20,000 Ohms in two operating modes: 1) input mode – adjust the input value (Ohms) from 100 – 1,000 in 1 ohm increments, 1,000 to 10,000 in 10 ohm increments & 10,000 to 20,000 in 100 ohm increments. 2) Digital input allows the technician to input a known value directly into the simulator. Digital display includes ohms setting digitally & graphically plus a battery charge indicator. Includes Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.  Simulator will turn off automatically when not in use. Includes (2) 2.2mm male flat & (2) 2.8mm male flat terminal wire leads.
